Required Documents

Here's what we'll need from you to get started on your claim. Gather what you can — we take it from there.

We Do the Work

Our team researches, files claims, and handles all communication. You just provide the documents below — we take care of everything else.

1Foreclosure Surplus

Please provide the following so we can get started on your foreclosure surplus claim:

  • Government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport)
  • Proof of former ownership (deed, mortgage statement, or closing documents)
  • Foreclosure sale notice or auction record
  • Proof of address at the time of foreclosure
  • Social Security Number (for identity verification)

Note: If the property was jointly owned, documentation from all owners may be required.

2Tax Sale Surplus

Please provide the following so we can get started on your tax sale surplus claim:

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Property tax bill or tax account number
  • Deed or proof of ownership prior to the tax sale
  • Tax sale notice or certificate (if available)
  • Proof of address at the time of the sale

Note: Requirements vary by county. Some jurisdictions require a notarized affidavit.

3Estate & Heir Recovery

Please provide the following so we can get started on your estate & heir recovery claim:

  • Death certificate of the deceased property owner
  • Proof of heirship (will, probate court order, or affidavit of heirship)
  • Government-issued photo ID of the heir(s)
  • Letters of administration or letters testamentary (if probate was opened)
  • Any property records tied to the deceased

Note: If probate has not been opened, our team can advise on the best path forward.

4Unclaimed Property

Please provide the following so we can get started on your unclaimed property claim:

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Social Security Number
  • Proof of address (current and former, if applicable)
  • Documentation linking you to the unclaimed asset (old bank statement, insurance policy, pay stub, etc.)

Note: Many states accept claims with just an ID and SSN. We handle everything from there.
